Yes, you can etch and paint glass, too!
SayWhat? stencils work exceptionally well on glass, ceramic tile, mirrors, and other smooth hard surfaces. You can use B and B Etch-All Creme for the etched look you see here, or purchase glass paints at your local crafts store.
Although we're showing fairly small projects here, this technique can scale up to shower doors, mirrors, even storefront windows! Visit the B and B Etchall Site for more ideas!

Glass Painting

Thanks to Bill Kapp, Arroyo Grande CA. This was a restoration of an old clock. The lettering was painted inside the glass- we need to cut the letters backwards to do this. There's no extra charge, but we need to know in advance. Glass painting can be fun, but requires some special techniques and paints. We have some general instructions available by clicking here. Bill used used Rust-Oleum® specialty metallic bright reflective finish spray for the letters, and Kids-Tuff ® black for the background.
"I am very pleased with the outcome and thank you for your efforts. I never could have done this by hand."
Font used: Algerian, available by special request.

Etchall® etching creme is a re-usable creme that produces a white, opaque, permanent, etched finish on glass, mirror, ceramic, porcelain, marble, or slate for decorative purposes in businesses, automobiles, and homes. Etchall® etching creme makes the etched surface fingerprint-proof and creates a smooth, matte surface with "tooth" that provides texture to hold oil or acrylic paint or inks in place, allowing for even more creative decorating possibilities. Typical cost for small stencils would be 50 cents to $2 each if ordered in quantity, plus a small set up fee. This is pretty cost effective if you're doing quantities from 1-100.
